The Role:
The Quality Technician plays a critical role in validating the performance, reliability, and safety of Arrive AI's autonomous delivery hardware, including Arrive Points, drone integrations, and related electromechanical systems.
This role is responsible for executing mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing in alignment with approved test plans, industry standards, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on technical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, prototype-driven environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Configure laboratory test equipment in accordance with approved test procedures and test requests
  • Execute mechanical, electrical, and environmental product testing safely and accurately, following all lab protocols and operational guidelines
  • Record observations, collect data, and prepare clear, structured, and formal test reports for engineering stakeholders
  • Complete assigned testing within required timelines and priority schedules
  • Maintain laboratory tools, fixtures, instruments, and work areas, including routine upkeep and adherence to 5S practices
  • Assemble prototype components, jigs, and custom test fixtures as needed to support validation efforts
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the lab and testing processes
  • Communicate effectively with the Lab Manager and Test Engineers, with occasional interaction with Product Engineering
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented, cross-functional environment

Additional:
  • Expect to travel up to 5 days per month.
  • Responsibilities include all other duties as assigned.

Requirements
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on technical experience
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electromechanical systems

Education
  • Associate degree in an electromechanical or related technical field OR
  • High school diploma plus 5+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience, including product testing

Core Knowledge & Skills
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical machinery
  • Ability to program - or willingness to learn programming for - PLCs and pneumatic control systems used in prototype assemblies
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to make fine mechanical or electrical adjustments
  • Ability to follow installation instructions and standardized test methods precisely
  • Proficiency with electronic and mechanical measurement tools
  • Skilled use of standard hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving development environment
  • Competence with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including authoring structured test documentation
  • Experience assembling prototype components and custom fixtures

Preferred / Additional Experience
  • Prior experience in a test lab or product validation environment
  • Exposure to testing against regulatory or compliance standards
  • Experience with data acquisition systems, HMI integration, and PLC programming
  • Experience working with calibrated instruments and measurement equipment
