We are currently seeking a Diesel Engine Mechanic: Pressure Pumping, Oklahoma City, OK.
PURPOSE:
Performs physical tasks in the shop, warehouse, or field in support of operations including, but not limited to: inspection, repairs and maintenance of equipment, troubleshooting, interpretation of equipment manuals, and training/mentoring. The Diesel Engine Mechanic is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, rebuilding, and testing diesel engines and related components in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and safety requirements. This role focuses on precision engine work rather than general fleet or field maintenance.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Disassemble diesel engines and components to determine wear, damage, or defects
  • Inspect engine blocks, crankshafts, cylinder heads, connecting rods, camshafts, and related parts
  • Measure components using precision tools (micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, etc.)
  • Clean, repair, and recondition engine parts according to specifications
  • Rebuild diesel engines to OEM or company standards, including proper torque and clearances
  • Install bearings, seals, pistons, liners, injectors, and other internal engine components
  • Diagnose engine failures and identify root causes
  • Perform engine timing, adjustments, and final assembly
  • Test rebuilt engines to verify performance and quality standards
  • Accurately document rebuild processes, measurements, and findings
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and environmental regulations
  • May perform gas and arc welding as required in routine maintenance.
  • Assists in training and mentoring maintenance technician trainees; orients operators in maintenance procedures and field maintenance for specialized equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Less than High School Education
Work Experience: 0-2 years
Related Experience:
  • Mechanical skills should include, but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of trucks, cranes and related equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent
Work Experience: 2-4 years
Related Experience:
  • Relevant experience as a Diesel Engine technician
  • Current HSE certifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Precise hand/eye coordination: Constantly
Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions: Frequently
Operation of heavy equipment or operation of vehicles: Occasionally
