About the Role
 
Whisper Aero is looking for an experienced Test Technician to join our team onsite in Crossville, TN. The Test Technician will be focused on assembling prototype engine assemblies and building and operating ground testing equipment. They will have a solid track record with system hardware and instrumentation and proficiency of troubleshooting and developing creative solutions.
 
What You'll Do
  • Assemble prototype aerospace products and develop assembly instructions.
  • Assist in the setup of test stations and test article instrumentation.
  • Assists and conducts tests with data acquisition.
  • Develop and implement wiring layouts for ground tests and vehicle systems.
  • Operate basic metal machining tools.
Required Qualifications
  • U.S Citizenship is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electronics, test, or assembly technician.
  • Expert skill with general hand tools, precision measurement tools, and electronics fabrication.
  • Demonstrated experience with wiring diagrams. 
  • Experience building high performance assemblies such as engines.
  • Familiarity with using test equipment (multimeters, accelerometers, pressure sensors).
  • Respect for both the safety of yourself and others, experience and awareness of high voltage electrical systems and electromechanical spinning machinery, and the ability to work safely in a lab test environment.
Bonus Qualifications
  • IPC Certification 610 or 620
  • Experience balancing rotating machinery
  • Experience in R&D space
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks other similar CAD program.
  • Basic proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python basic data analysis.
