Trissential is hiring a Modernization Project Manager to join our client's team and help drive a complex portfolio of technology transformation Pension Administration initiative. This is a highly visible opportunity where you'll influence strategic decision-making, manage enterprise-wide dependencies, and provide leadership across multiple workstreams while ensuring successful delivery and portfolio alignment.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Portfolio & Program Governance

  • Track portfolio milestones, timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Ensure program roadmaps remain aligned with broader portfolio objectives and strategic priorities
  • Monitor initiative progress and proactively identify risks to delivery timelines
  • Provide governance oversight across projects and modernization initiatives
  • Support portfolio planning, execution, and reporting activities

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management

  • Maintain portfolio risk registers and ensure mitigation plans are established and executed
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities spanning multiple initiatives
  • Escalate critical issues and facilitate timely decision-making
  • Evaluate the impact of upstream and downstream dependencies across programs
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and support resolution of complex challenges

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Track portfolio spending and monitor financial performance across initiatives
  • Support forecasting activities and planning for future resource requirements
  • Model impacts of delays, budget adjustments, scope changes, and strategic shifts
  • Evaluate vendor performance, service delivery, and contract compliance
  • Provide financial and operational insights to leadership teams

Executive Reporting & Portfolio Analytics

  • Develop executive-level dashboards reflecting portfolio health, risks, dependencies, milestones, and financial status
  • Deliver regular status updates and portfolio performance reporting
  • Present key findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders
  • Consolidate reporting across workstreams into meaningful portfolio views
  • Support leadership decision-making through data-driven analysis and insights

Organizational Change & Knowledge Transfer

  • Support organizational change management activities tied to modernization initiatives
  • Facilitate communication and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Drive alignment across business and technology teams during transformation efforts
  • Provide knowledge transfer and transition support to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Promote best practices in portfolio and project management execution

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 10+ years of combined project management and portfolio management experience
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required
  • Experience managing large-scale enterprise programs exceeding $30 million in value
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex, multi-year programs and transformation initiatives
  • Strong portfolio governance, dependency management, and risk management expertise
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams in complex environments
  • Advanced financial tracking, forecasting, and portfolio planning capabilities
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience providing executive reporting, dashboards, and strategic portfolio updates
  • Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and organizational leadership skills

Bonus Points If You Have

  • PMI-PfMP (Portfolio Management Professional) certification
