Job description

The Engagement Marketing Manager supports the execution of Guardian's customer engagement, service marketing, and lifecycle marketing initiatives across multiple lines of business for the Individual Business. Reporting to the Head of Client Solutions Marketing Enablement and Engagement, this role is responsible for activating customer-focused marketing programs, campaigns, communications, and engagement efforts that strengthen customer relationships, improve service experiences, and drive business outcomes.
This individual will partner closely with product, digital, communications, customer experience, analytics, and line-of-business teams to execute integrated marketing initiatives, develop customer communications, support journey-based marketing programs, and measure performance. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, data-driven marketer with strong executional skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
You Will
  • Execute customer engagement, service marketing, and lifecycle marketing programs aligned to enterprise marketing priorities.
  • Support the activation of customer journey initiatives, retention programs, loyalty efforts, and service communications across channels.
  • Partner with the Head of Engagement & Services Marketing to operationalize engagement strategies and annual marketing plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional marketing initiatives with Product, Sales, Digital, Operations, Communications, Compliance, and Customer Experience teams.
  • Develop and manage customer-facing communications including email campaigns, digital content, educational resources, service materials, and promotional assets.
  • Support audience segmentation, targeting, and personalization efforts to improve customer relevance and engagement.
  • Leverage customer insights, VOC data, market research, and performance analytics to optimize campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage campaign execution timelines, workback schedules, approvals, and stakeholder communications.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, engagement metrics, and business outcomes; recommend optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to regulatory, brand, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Identify process improvements that enhance marketing efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.

You Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of marketing experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, wealth management, or related industries.
  • Experience executing customer engagement, retention, loyalty, lifecycle, or service marketing programs.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation, CRM, email marketing, digital channels, and analytics platforms.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing results and recommending optimizations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Customer-centric orientation with a passion for improving customer experiences.

Work Locations
  • This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in office out of Hudson Yards New York, Bethlehem PA or Pittsfield, MA

Salary Range:
$103,450.00 - $169,960.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
