Job description

Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

The Manufacturing Engineer will support tooling design, product design, and secondary equipment design functions as well as complying with the quality system procedures as required and complete engineering.projects that will optimize production, reduce downtime, and provide the highest quality parts for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Must embrace and follow the Core Beliefs and Values of Stryten Energy.
  • Embraces and follows the work and safety rules and wears all required personal protective equipment.
  • Responsible for the creation and management of design and detailing of injection mold tooling.
  • Responsible for the design and detailing of secondary tooling and product drawings for the development and implementation of manufacturing methods ensuring the highest quality, lowest cost, lowest scrap, and optimum capacity.
  • Responsible for the submission of Engineering Change Notices, Bills of Materials, Sampling Packets, and analysis as required.
  • Responsible for Producing accurate and complete design details for Tool Room
  • Collaborates with engineering staff as required to ensure components conform to customer requirements and meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Originate and/or verify and review designs/drawings and other technical documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Assists with engineering releases and changes relative to routings, setting standards, data entry, and follow-up.
  • Participates in design reviews and responsible for improving the design for manufacturability early in the design phase of new product development.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area through general housekeeping and 5S activities
  • Additional responsibilities as neededto support the team and company goals. 
Qualifications

Education, Experience

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of 2D and 3D cad software experience, preferably in AutoCAD with solid modeling ability

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Skilled in using software packages such as databases and spreadsheet software to perform analysis, design tasks and project tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize with changing situations.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and comfortably with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to create and modify engineering drawings efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to follow all environmental, health and safety procedures

Environment

  • This position is primarily performed in an office environment and requires regular onsite attendance. The role also requires presence in manufacturing and production areas. While on the manufacturing floor, employees may be exposed to moving machinery, noise, dust, fumes, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting, standing, walking, and twisting as required.
  • Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
  • Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Wearing of PPE is required.
