The Energy Tech Profile

Affinity Recruitingย is looking for candidates with a career goal of working in the clean energy field and are excited and eager to travel.ย  This job will provide the experience necessary to become a seasoned technician, project manager and beyond. This candidate will be responsible for representing our client's world class client experience.ย 

ย 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform under general supervision all aspects of installation and retrofitting LED light fixtures. The Energy Tech (equivalent to apprentice electrician) demonstrates the mechanical aptitude, safety skills, and communication skills necessary to complete the following duties and responsibilities.

  • Perform the basic tasks of material handling, jobsite housekeeping, tool and equipment maintenance, and general labor.

  • Install or retrofit lighting fixtures, interior and exterior.

  • Perform all tasks in a timely manner.

  • Understand and follow jobsite directions and instructions, both written and verbal.

  • Displays professional behavior and attitude.

  • Understand/Perform other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervision.

  • The preceding covers the primary duties and responsibilities of the position. It should not be construed as a complete listing of all miscellaneous, incidental, or similar duties that may be required from day to day.

Physical Standards

  • Lifting 50 or more pounds, unassisted, multiple times per day.

  • Constantly moving about on the feet.

  • Completing a full dayโ€™s assignments involving one or more of the following: bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching over head, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.

  • Operating two handed tools/equipment such as cable cutters, hammer drills, and saws.

  • Operating aerial personnel lifts.

  • Always wearing personal protective equipment as required by the specific task, eye and face protection, steel toe leather work boots, hand protection, head protection, respirator, etc.

  • Climbing and working from all types of ladders; step ladders up to 14โ€™, โ€œAโ€ frame ladders, and all size extension ladders. Capable of carrying and relocating up to a 12โ€™ step ladder by oneself.

  • Operating company vehicles with automatic transmission.

  • Working a 40-hour work week, with overtime and off-hour shifts as required.

  • Personal weight including tool pouch, tools, nail bags, and tool belt must not exceed 300 lbs., weight limit of a class 1A ladder.

  • Possession of good hearing, normal or corrected.

  • Possession of good vision, normal or corrected.

  • Positive identification of wiring colors.

Minimum Education and Skill Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Current valid driver license

  • Attention to details.

  • Positive attitude.

  • Willingness to learn and grow.

  • Strong code of ethics.

  • Service oriented, good people skills.

  • Knowledge of the use and application of basic hand and power tools. รฏยปยฟ

Compensation

  • Starting pay range:ย  $20.00 to $25.00 + per hour (Compensation will be determined based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience)

Job Expectations

  • This role will involve travel to job sites for extended periods of time.ย  A project may last up to a month.ย  Once assigned to a project you will stay local to the job site with the option to return home on weekends.ย  Periodic swing shifts may be required to match the customerโ€™s schedule and availability.ย  We provide typical construction hotel stays, per diem pay, and a fixed rate pay from home base to site.
