CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Energy Engineer to join our Generation & Energy Management Team in Boston, MA or Rocky Hill, CT, supporting energyintensive facilities and missioncritical infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to highimpact projects, solve technically demanding problems, and support systems that enable operational continuity and nextgeneration manufacturing.


  • Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of specifications and reports for mechanical energy, power generation, and facility energy system projects
  • Develop computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior staff or technical leadership
  • Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, applying standard procedures and best practices to support system reliability, safety, and performance
  • Monitor project progress and performance, acting quickly to resolve technical or operational issues that could impact missioncritical systems
  • Take responsibility for large portions of projects with oversight from senior staff or management, including field assignments and system assessments

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Strong working and theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply engineering knowledge in practical settings
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards
  • Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

  • Work alongside experienced engineers on complex, highprofile energy and manufacturing projects
