Are you looking for an internship to jumpstart your career? If so, you have come to the right place! SB Energy has many exciting internship opportunities. We are currently searching for students or alumni interested in gaining hands-on experience at a fast-paced and innovative energy and digital infrastructure company. Our mission is to deliver reliable and secure data center and power infrastructure to strengthen America's future. Our internships have a specific focus, but often get broader exposure to SB Energy's business, gaining insight into different areas of the company and the energy and data center industry.

This internship will help you acquire marketable skills by participating in key engineering and AI initiatives at SB Energy. You will gain broad experience in agentic workflow development and should be prepared to enter a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Survey multiple business units, such as Engineering, Datacenter, Supply Chain, and Strategy, to identify pain points and opportunities for automation.
  • Prioritize pain points based on impact and feasibility. Select one or more to develop an agentic AI based solution.
  • Work with key stakeholders to define requirements, data sources, success criteria, and architecture.
  • Develop, validate, and demonstrate automated agentic AI solution based.
  • Deploy into a production environment, including supporting documentation such as workflows, assumptions, limitations, and user instructions
  • Prepare and deliver a final report and presentation to SB Energy staff and leadership
  • Meet regularly with supervisor(s) and stakeholders.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree (or pursuing a degree) in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Strong skills in Python programming, agentic workflow development, and/or model context protocol
  • Interest or experience in automation, AIenabled workflows, or data analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Location: Denver, CO

Hourly pay: $25-$30 per hour
