Job description

onsemi is seeking a highly motivated Senior Technical Business Process Development Manager (Semiconductor Industry Centric) to lead the implementation of onsemi technologies and business process strategies. The selected individual will be part of the Integrated Circuits (IC) Technology Development Group and responsible for improving and optimizing business processes, with a focus on technology, to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall organizational performance. The role will largely be centered around technology transfers, technology development, Program Management and business process improvements for New Product/Technology Introduction. This leadership position requires continual interactions with both internal Business Units, Product Teams, Manufacturing/Operations management and executives to ensure the project output aligns with the stakeholder's evolving needs. The selected individual is additionally responsible for ensuring that documentation for all the associated business/technology collaterals are also complete. Furthermore, the individual will ensure internal program management and business processes and standards are adhered to and continuously improved.

  • A technical B.S. degree or higher is required.
  • 10+ years in program management or program management experience in semiconductor industry combined with business, operations, engineering, or product management.
  • Semiconductor technology, manufacturing, new product development experience is also required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis: They analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: They develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, often leveraging technology and automation.
  • Collaboration: They work with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that process improvements align with business goals.
  • Documentation: They document process changes and ensure that new processes are well-defined and understood.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: They monitor the performance of new processes and make ongoing adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Business Investment Analysis: They are responsible for conducting ROI, CoO models, IRR, etc analysis to assess pros/cons of business investment in projects.
  • Cost Management: They track project costs and enable costs to be under budget at project completion.
  • Support Engineering Technology Owner through interfacing with multiple cross-functional groups within the company for e.g Manufacturing, Operations, Reliability, Packaging, Finance etc.
  • Manage and deliver, per plan, multiple projects and required documentation to satisfy global onsemi technology development and acquisition (TD&A) specifications.
  • Lead and/or collaborate directly and indirectly with reporting program managers.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently to senior management, executive staff and other project stakeholders.
  • Continuous efficiency improvements to business process flows.
  • Conduct and capture project post-mortems and other project learnings to strengthen. our business processes and standards.
