JOB PURPOSE:

As part of the Energy 1 team, you will bring your experience and aptitude for great customer service to perform HVAC installation duties for high-end custom residential and commercial clients.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will report to the HVAC Manager and will serve as a critical member of the HVAC team. Specific Job duties include:

  • Perform skilled HVAC install duties related to the construction, diagnosis, repair, installation of client heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing of HVAC equipment assuring efficient operation.
  • Read plans, communicate with construction team, order parts/materials/equipment, and perform other related duties.
  • Apply standard/best practices of the HVAC and Refrigeration trade.
  • Apply building codes, ordinances, and regulations of State and Local authorities pertaining to HVAC, refrigeration, and boilers.
  • Provide equipment material details for submittal documentation.
  • Take part in weekly HVAC department meetings.
  • Direct, assist, teach, and schedule lower-level employees to develop HVAC department labor force.
  • Provide guidance and direction regarding application of safety practices at work sites.
  • Set a positive example at all times.
  • Share knowledge and experience.
  • Communicate job progress to construction admin team via email, phone, and in-person meetings.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License
  • Possess manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the HVAC and refrigeration trade or be willing to acquire within 6 months.
  • Preferred: E.P.A. Refrigerant Certifications Type I, II, III or Universal.
  • Preferred: Experience with boilers, heat-pumps, snowmelt, controls, etc.
  • Preferred: Geothermal Heating Systems experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: talk and hear others both physically present and on the telephone; sit and stand; move, use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position may require travel to multiple E1 sites as the need arises.
  • This position is located in Bozeman, MT, with responsibilities for additional locations.

Pay rate $30-$50 based on experience. For work done in Big Sky, Energy 1 pays an additional 30% above pay rate.
