Job description

Energy Engineer

Amentum is looking for an Energy Engineerto join our team in Springfield, VA to support our mission critical customer.The selected candidate will perform as a lead and expert energy manager for one of the most complex buildings operated by the US Government.

Must possess an activeTop Secret security clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a strategic energy management plan
  • Trend analysis for greenhouse gases, fuel consumption, water consumption, sewer throughput, peak performance, and energy consumption
  • Ensure building modifications comply with code requirements
  • Coordinate and work closely with programmanagement and government customer to define system specifications and requirements
  • Develop, maintain and produce an energy conservation report
  • Verify and comply with energy documentation standards and submissions.
  • Prepare, deliver and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies.
  • Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on the content andlevel of effort of the proposed scope of work.
  • Serve as primary contract point of contact for energy management
  • Perform planning activities to develop and maintain a Strategic Energy and Water Management Plan (SEWMP)
  • Develop an Energy and Water Conservation Plan (EWCP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate or LEED Accredited Professional (AP)
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Experience in the application of government regulations, codes and standards

150-175k
