Job description


The Senior Endpoint Engineer role is responsible for designing, deploying, managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining endpoint device configurations and endpoint management systems. The role involves analyzing complex technical challenges and developing appropriate solutions to maintain the overall integrity of the endpoint ecosystem. This includes devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices critical to the company's global workforce. They collaborate with other IT professionals such as Service Support Teams, Network Engineers, and Cybersecurity Teams, to ensure endpoint devices and management systems are integrated seamlessly and securely within the broader IT infrastructure. The Senior Endpoint Engineer uses their extensive expertise in endpoint management platforms and supporting technologies to optimize device performance, ensure compliance, and enhance the end-user experience.
Responsibilities
WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO:
  • Maintain endpoint hardware, software, and endpoint management systems in alignment with business needs and organizational standards defined

  • Monitor endpoint performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise to continuously improve end-user experience and device reliability

  • Manage and configure endpoint management platforms to support processes as per organizational needs

  • Identify, prioritize, implement and maintain automated and orchestrated fulfillment mechanisms to optimize delivery of key endpoint services

  • Coordinate with Service Support Teams, Network Engineers, and Cybersecurity Teams to plan and execute endpoint changes, ensuring effective implementation while maintaining security and operational continuity

  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity Teams to identify and mitigate endpoint security threats to comply with a strict security compliance

  • Work with Cybersecurity Teams to develop and implement endpoint security and resiliency policies, standards, and procedures to protect endpoint devices and ensure compliance with regulations

  • Produce high-level design documentation where required

  • Conduct technical research and analysis to address user requests for new or modified endpoint solutions or problem resolution.

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure effective procurement, deployment, and support of endpoint devices, tools and management platforms.

his role is not remote/ hybrid and will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 4-6+ years of experience in desktop or endpoint engineering

  • Experience managing and maintaining endpoint management platforms

  • Experience in endpoint benchmarking, monitoring, telemetry, and log management

  • Experience in endpoint scripting and automation
  • Experience with policy management tools and technologies, practices
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 7 years of experience in the role of Desktop Engineer, Endpoint Engineer, or related position
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the Untied States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Intune, and SCCM

  • 5+ years of experience with endpoint scripting, automation, monitoring and performance benchmarking

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with policy management and software packaging
  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate

  • Technical Skills:

  • Operating Systems (eg. Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, etc.)

  • Endpoint Management Platforms (eg. Microsoft Intune, SCCM, etc.)

  • Endpoint Monitoring (eg. Microsoft Endpoint Analytics, CrowdStrike, Splunk, etc.)

  • Endpoint Scripting (eg. Powershell, Python, Bash, VB Script, etc.)

  • Software Packaging

  • Policy Management (eg. Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy Management Console, etc.)
