The A&E Business Development Manager reports directly to the Director of A&E Program, PACS North America. This role is responsible for driving demand within the A&E community, strategic end users, and channel partners by promoting HID Global solutions. The position requires strong industry relationships, consultative selling expertise, and the ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders. The individual will act as the voice of the customer, ensuring alignment between client needs and HID's offerings. As our End User Business Development Manager, A&E, you'll support HID's success by: 

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with A&E professionals including consultants, engineers, and specifiers.
  • Presenting, educating, and supporting the A&E community on HID Global solutions.
  • Driving new business opportunities through A&E channels and associated end-user projects.
  • Coordinating project activities such as job meetings, proof of concepts, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Partnering with internal teams and channel partners to deliver seamless client support.
  • Maintaining accurate reporting of activities, including monthly updates and sales funnel tracking.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between HID Global and the A&E community.
  • Identifying and influencing specification opportunities in physical access control projects.
  • Supporting end users and partners with tailored solutions aligned to project requirements.
  • Collaborating with regional teams and business development specialists to ensure consistent execution.
  • Managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while driving strategic growth initiatives.
  • Representing customer needs and feedback within internal HID teams for continuous improvement.

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of sales or business development experience in Physical Access Control.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience selling to the A&E community.
  • Proven consultative selling experience with senior decision makers.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in both team and individual selling environments.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong organizational, detail orientation, and follow-through skills.
  • Eligibility to obtain or maintain ASIS membership.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and specifications.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Existing network within the A&E and physical access control industry.
  • Experience working across North America markets.
  • Familiarity with security industry standards and emerging technologies.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range does not account for geographic differentials based on the location where the position may be filled. At HID, it is uncommon for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. Final compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each case.

The base salary in the United States is $90,000 to $132,000. The OTE is up to $200,000.
