Temporary Lab Results Scanner – Hospital Setting (6–8 Week Contract) Location: Vernon, CT Company: J. Morrissey Position Type: Temporary Contract (6–8 weeks) Pay Rate: $21-$22/hr J. Morrissey is seeking detail-oriented Lab Results Scanners to support a busy hospital in Vernon, CT. This short-term opportunity is ideal for individuals who are organized, dependable, and comfortable performing repetitive computer-based tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Multiple shifts are available, offering flexibility to fit your schedule.

Available Shifts

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Weekend rotation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Scan paper laboratory results into the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Ensure documents are accurately indexed and attached to the correct patient records
  • Verify scanned documents for quality, completeness, and accuracy
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information
  • Follow hospital policies and established scanning workflows
  • Perform computer-based work while seated for the duration of the shift

Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare, medical records, or administrative experience preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR is a plus, but not required
