Job description

Clearance Required: Public Trust US Citizenship: Required
About One Dynamic

One Dynamic is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Fairfax, VA, specializing in digital transformation, cloud infrastructure, quality assurance, and enterprise architecture. We serve federal and healthcare organizations as a trusted partner for mission-critical technology initiatives. Join a team that delivers modern, secure, cloud-native solutions on high-impact government programs.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to secure, automate, and scale cloud-native data platforms on AWS. This role centers on hardening and operating Amazon EMR (Spark) and OpenSearch workloads, building secure CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure-as-code, and embedding security throughout the delivery lifecycle. You'll work in a JVM-based codebase (Java/Kotlin/Scala), so a solid software-engineering foundation is required - but the emphasis is on cloud, security, and platform reliability. This role supports a federal program and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Required Experience and Skills

Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS
  • Experience securing and scaling Amazon EMR (Spark) and OpenSearch
  • Proven experience managing Kubernetes and Docker in production
  • Infrastructure as Code: proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation

Security (DevSecOps)

  • Strong understanding of encryption, secret management, and network security
  • Experience embedding security controls into build, deploy, and runtime workflows

CI/CD & Automation

  • Experience with Harness (or comparable CD tooling) and Git-based workflows
  • Strong version control practices with Git

Data & Development Foundation

  • Working knowledge of Apache Spark core concepts: RDDs, DataFrames, Spark SQL
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
  • 5+ years of software development experience in a JVM environment (Java, Kotlin, Scala) with exposure to functional programming concepts
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
  • Prior experience with federal or regulated (healthcare) cloud programs
  • Deep Scala ecosystem knowledge (frameworks and libraries)
  • Experience scaling big-data pipelines and observability for Spark/EMR
  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53)
Clearance & Eligibility
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • US citizenship required
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation: $135K-$150K
  • High-impact work on mission-critical federal programs
  • Collaborative, engineering-driven culture
One Dynamic is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
