We are looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to join our Employee Engagement Center of Excellence team!

In this role, you will be referred to as an Employee Engagement Specialist, with responsibilities spanning both employee relations and employee engagement. On the employee relations side, you will act as a trusted resource to employees and leaders by conducting investigations, coaching and advising managers and supervisors, supporting performance management efforts, interpreting policies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational standards.

Complementing this work, you will play an active role in fostering a positive and engaging employee experience. This includes collaborating with members of the Employee Engagement team to plan, organize, facilitate, and support engagement initiatives, programs, and events designed to strengthen connection, morale, and overall employee satisfaction.

You will have an on-site, 9/80 work schedule at our site in Salt Lake City, UT.

To be considered for the Employee Engagement Specialist role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • A bachelor's degree

  • Over five (5) years of progressive experience in a similar professional role, working with employee relation matters such as workplace investigations, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and alike

  • Must live in the Salt Lake City area to work on-site

  • Able to travel as needed, at least once a quarter, for remote site support

As an Employee Engagement Specialist, you will:

  • Serve as the face of HR and the primary HR support for front-line leaders and employees.

  • Work with employees and managers to determine employee effectiveness and satisfaction.

  • Use tools and resources to measure engagement and recommend and implement action.

  • Manage company policy education and compliance. Work with managers/supervisors to educate and ensure understanding of policies.

  • Coach and guide managers through policy interpretation discussions and investigations.

  • Manage and execute Employee Relations matters from conducting investigations to providing expert support for employees.

  • Provide coaching and guidance for managers/supervisors to document and handle issues/conflicts.

  • Coordinate and execute strategies and activities for developing line manager capability. This involves working with line managers to ensure they have the resources necessary to perform the HR functions of the job (performance management, counseling, documentation, employee engagement and communications).

  • Coordinate and deliver HR programs and communication by working with HR Centers of Excellence (COE's) and HR Business Partners to understand business needs, determine best vehicle for delivery, and coordinate implementation.

  • Assist with the facilitation of labor law compliance.

  • Synchronize with other Employee Engagement team members to provide coverage to other Moog sites as needed.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

Salary Range Transparency:

Salt Lake City, UT $90,000.00-$115,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
