We are seeking an Employee Development Specialist who will play a dual role at our Newark, CA corporate headquarters: hosting engaging new hire orientation sessions and serving as an Instructional Designer to develop impactful training content for Lucid Motors employees across North America.

Key Responsibilities

New Hire Orientation

Plan, facilitate, and host welcoming and informative orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring a consistent and positive onboarding experience for those located in Newark, CA and joining remotely from across North America.

Align onboarding programs with the companys culture, values, and strategic goals.

Collaborate with HR, hiring managers, and department leaders to tailor orientation content to meet departmental and organizational needs.

Collect and analyze feedback from new employees and managers to continuously improve the onboarding process.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure onboarding content and messaging are unified and seamless globally.

Deliver training on company policies, procedures, and key systems as part of the orientation process.

Instructional Design

Design, develop, and update engaging learning materials and courses using diverse delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, webinars).

Ensure all instructional content reflects current branding guidelines, adult learning theory, and organizational objectives.

Work closely with subject matter experts to assess training needs and translate them into effective and interactive learning experiences.

Review, revise, and maintain training materials for clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness.

Manage multiple projects from concept through launch, ensuring timely delivery of all content and materials.

Utilize project management tools to organize and track progress, documentation, and processes.

Gather and analyze learner and stakeholder feedback to make data-driven improvements to training programs.

Advise team members and stakeholders on best practices in instructional design and the latest learning technologies.

Additional Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on instructional design methodology.

Demonstrate strong project management, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Communicate clearly and professionally with diverse teams across multiple locations.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support employee development and learning initiatives.

Requirements

Role-Specific Requirements

Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.

1-2 years experience designing and developing both instructor-led and digital learning content using tools such as AI, Articulate 360, Camtasia, Canva, Captivate, and SAP SuccessFactors.

1-2 years experience facilitating group training or presentations.

Familiarity with a variety of training delivery methods and modern learning technologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively.

Proficient in MS Office, Jira, and other project management tools.

Bachelor of Science in Instructional Design or at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain in a stationary position at a desk or computer workstation for extended periods.

Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, audiovisual equipment, and other office or presentation technology.

Occasional need to move or transport training materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Capacity to deliver in-person or virtual presentations, which may require standing, moving throughout training spaces, or engaging with participants for up to several hours.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
 
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. $87,300—$120,010 USD
