Job description

MPS Group, Inc. is seeking a Regional Manager to lead operations throughout the US Southeast Region. This individual is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, employee development, customer satisfaction, and business growth across multiple project locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, environmental industry experience, and a proven ability to manage complex operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
  • Oversee regional operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable execution of environmental and industrial service projects.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, analyze operational performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accountability for the financial performance and profitability of assigned business units.
  • Establish and maintain alignment between contracts, purchase orders, budget activity, volume reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers within the assigned region.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.
  • Conduct job walkthroughs and collaborate with internal operating divisions to deliver quality solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, project plans, and service recommendations to prospective and existing clients.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and operational expansion.
  • Provide leadership in employee performance management, compensation recommendations, employee relations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a culture centered on safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure clear communication with employees, customers, subcontractors, and senior leadership regarding project activity and future operational needs.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Oversee capital equipment, facility management, and site resources within the assigned region.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and industry best practices.
  • Travel up to 50% throughout the assigned region based on customer and operational requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in environmental services, industrial services, hazardous waste, solid waste, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing multiple projects or operations simultaneously.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and operational performance management.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Candidates must currently reside in one of the following states: Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, or South Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Seven (7) or more years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in hazardous waste management, solid waste management, environmental services, remediation, or industrial cleaning operations.
  • Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification and Annual Refresher.
  • Current RCRA Certification.
  • Current DOT Certification.
Certifications may be provided upon hire for qualified candidates.
