HOPE 4 Youth provides a safe place for youth to access basic needs support, educational and employment programs and opportunities, and transitional housing options. Wages
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on qualifications and level of experience

Schedule
This position is fully in person. Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm with some evening/weekend flexibility needed for occasional events or networking.
Job Summary
HOPE 4 Youth is hiring a Development Coordinator to assist with fundraising, donor and partner engagement, and special events while working closely with the Associate Director to help sustain and grow the organization's impact.
Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and submission of grant proposals and applications, including tracking deadlines and managing funder portals.
  • Maintain the grants calendar and assist with required funder reports.
  • Help maintain accurate records and internal reports in shared systems.
  • Assist with public funding contracts, proposals, and reporting.
  • Process in-kind donations and ensure timely acknowledgements and receipts.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable user of the donor and volunteer database, including helping train staff as needed.
  • Track fundraising activity and assist with regular development reports.
  • Support the agency development plan to strengthen fundraising and organizational visibility.
  • Assist with donor-facing activities such as special events, outreach efforts, and mailings.
  • Support the Leadership Team in stewarding long-standing and new organizational partners.
  • Track and help grow relationships with corporate partners, including employee giving and matching gift opportunities.
  • Assist with event sponsorship cultivation and secure in-kind support for events and campaigns.
  • Manage event-related data in the donor database and track key metrics to inform future efforts.
  • Support donor recognition efforts through timely thank-you letters and acknowledgements and helping improve database workflows and automation.

What You Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge gained through alternative education and lived experience.
  • Previous experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting data in ways that are accurate, thoughtful, and meaningful.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (Giveffect experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of the human services nonprofit sector (prior nonprofit experience preferred).
  • A foundational understanding of fundraising strategies and an eagerness to continue learning and growing in this area.
  • Strong organizational and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to think critically, pay close attention to detail, and organize ideas, materials, and workflows effectively.
  • The ability to explain complex information in clear, accessible ways to a variety of audiences.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines well in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn new technology and systems.
  • The ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, contributing positively to diverse team environments.
  • A cooperative, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to support coworkers, supervisors, volunteers, and clients.
  • The ability to attend events and networking opportunities outside of regular office hours as needed.
  • A valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet H4Y's driving record requirements.
