Job description

This role is built for an Account Manager who understands the complexity of large-group benefits environments and can confidently support self-funded health plans. Our client is seeking someone who can operate as a trusted advisor to employer groups while managing the operational details required to keep sophisticated benefits programs running effectively.

You'll work directly with employer clients of 100+ employees, supporting renewals, open enrollment, carrier coordination, eligibility administration, and ongoing service needs. This is not an entry-level service role—it requires strong technical benefits knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex client situations with confidence and professionalism.

In this role, you will...

  • Manage day-to-day service for large-group employee benefits accounts with 100+ employees
  • Coordinate renewals, onboarding, open enrollment, and eligibility updates
  • Support self-funded and level-funded health plans and related client needs
  • Respond promptly to client requests while managing issues through resolution
  • Maintain accurate records within AMS, EASE, and Employee Navigator
  • Assist with proposals, platform builds, and account maintenance activities
  • Partner with producers, carriers, and internal teams to support client accounts

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience (or like experience) in employee benefits account management within an insurance brokerage environment
  • Strong experience supporting large-group accounts with 100+ employees
  • Solid understanding of self-funded employee benefits programs and related plan structures
  • Active Life & Health insurance license
  • Agency management system work preferred. Applied/Brokerage Builder/Epic is preferred.
  • Experience managing renewals, open enrollment, eligibility administration, and carrier relationships
  • Ability to independently manage multiple complex client accounts and competing priorities
  • Must be able to prepare, present and communicate information and respond to situations, verbally and in written form, effectively with management, clients, insurance company personnel, and team members.

If you're an employee benefits professional who enjoys client interaction, operational ownership, and navigating the details that keep benefits programs running smoothly, we welcome a confidential conversation to discuss the opportunity further.
