Job description

Join Our Team as a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician

We are currently looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician (PM&R)/Physiatrist with a specialization in electromyography (EMG/NCS) to become a part of our expanding multidisciplinary team located in Elmira, New York. This full-time position is hospital-employed and focuses on outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), particularly in diagnostic EMG/NCS services.

Position Highlights:
  • Become a member of an integrated team that includes specialists in orthopedics, neurology, pain management, and rehabilitation.
  • Conduct and interpret EMGs and nerve conduction studies (NCS) as part of a thorough diagnostic service.
  • Deliver specialized outpatient care in musculoskeletal medicine, emphasizing physical rehabilitation.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with injuries, diseases, or disabling conditions affecting musculoskeletal health, including performing procedures such as injections.
  • Collaborate with teams in musculoskeletal care, primary care, surgery, and neurology to enhance patient treatment.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and benefit from dedicated support staff.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents through our partnership with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM).
  • Enjoy a Monday to Friday outpatient schedule.
Candidate Requirements:
  • M.D. or D.O. with Board Certification or Eligibility in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
  • Fellowship training or substantial clinical experience in EMG/NCV is essential.
  • Possession of or eligibility for a New York State medical license.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
