Job description

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Reports To:
      • Director of ED
    • Summary:
      • Employee is primarily responsible for computerized order entry and handling all calls for the Emergency Department, doctors, and families. Employee must keep records of patients in the Emergency Room and provide assistance to the nursing staff. Employee needs to be able to handle multiple tasks, have good computer skills and have an eye for detail. Employee normally performs the duty assignments after receiving general instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. The assignment is reviewed upon completion.

      • Must be able to work non-standard hours.
  • SKILLS & ABILITIES
    • Education
      • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
    • Experience
      • Six months to one year related experience.
    • Computer Skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.
    • Certificates & Licenses
      • Certification in Emergency Medical Technician Preferred.
    • Other Requirements
      • Certification in CPR
        Ability to adapt to changes in pace of the Emergency Room. 
        General working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Windows

        This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, lifting and carrying 0-20 lbs and pushing and pulling 0-100 lbs.
