RN - ER

Emergency room nurses (RN) are responsible to treat a variety of injuries and illnesses brought into the emergency room. They specialize in rapid assessment and treatment when every second counts, particularly during the initial phase of acute illness. An emergency room nurse must take measures to stabilize a patient's condition by administering medication, intubation, drawing blood and/or starting IVs.

Location: Danville, VA (Zip Code 24541)

Shift Details: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM, 3 shifts per week, 36 scheduled hours per week

Start Date: 08/18/2026

End Date: 11/17/2026

Duration: 13 weeks

Teaching Hospital: Yes

Cancellation Policy: Provider or facility can cancel assignment with a minimum 2-week notice with no penalty. $1,500 cancellation fee without 2 weeks notice, for both providers and facility. Facility can cancel 2 shifts per 13 week contract with no penalty - guaranteed hours only apply at 3rd cancellation. Right to hire with no penalty after 13 week assignment completed. Late cancellation of shift by client affiliate or healthtrust: 3.11.1 Cancelled during a shift or upon arriving to the client affiliate facility for per diem staff โ€“ pay subcontractor for the greater of the number of hours worked or 4 hours. 3.11.2 Cancelled before 12 p.m. client affiliate time business day prior to shift for per diem staff - no charge. 3.11.3 Cancelled after 12 p.m. client affiliate time business day prior to shift for per diem staff.
