Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager EMEA (Growth & Expansion) based in Netherlands.

This is a high-impact commercial role focused on driving international growth across the EMEA region for a leading data and intelligence platform serving startups, investors, corporates, and public institutions. You will own the full sales cycle, from identifying strategic prospects to closing complex, consultative deals with senior stakeholders. The role requires a strong ability to translate data-driven products into clear business value across different customer segments, including venture capital, enterprise innovation teams, and government bodies. You will operate in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment where insight-led selling is prioritized over volume outreach. Beyond closing deals, you will contribute to shaping go-to-market strategy, refining messaging, and improving the overall commercial motion. This is a role for a commercially driven, analytically minded professional who thrives in international, high-trust environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and develop a high-quality pipeline across EMEA by identifying and prioritizing strategic accounts in venture capital, corporate innovation, and public sector ecosystems.
  • Run targeted outbound and relationship-driven prospecting using research, insights, LinkedIn, events, and referrals to engage senior decision-makers.
  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact to close, including qualification, discovery, tailored demos, negotiation, and contract finalization.
  • Manage complex, consultative sales processes with senior stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment on customer needs and long-term value.
  • Position the platform as a strategic intelligence tool by translating customer challenges into relevant, insight-led solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and leadership teams to share market feedback, refine messaging, and improve go-to-market execution.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the commercial strategy as the business expands into new markets and customer segments.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in full-cycle Business Development or Sales roles within SaaS, data platforms, or complex B2B environments.
  • Strong track record of managing outbound prospecting in a thoughtful, research-led, and targeted manner.
  • Experience selling to senior stakeholders such as executives, strategy teams, investors, or public sector decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex value propositions.
  • Analytical and curious mindset with a strong interest in markets, startups, and innovation ecosystems.
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and managing structured sales pipelines.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structure
  • Equity/stock options participation
  • Fully remote-friendly setup across Europe with optional office access
  • Flexible working model with high autonomy and trust-based culture
  • Personal development budget for learning and career growth
  • Exposure to international markets and senior stakeholders across industries
  • Collaborative, high-trust environment with a flat organizational structure
  • Strong focus on innovation, startups, and data-driven decision making
