Position Summary: Embedded Service Technician III

As an Embedded Service Technician III, you will play a critical part within the Service Department.  You will be the face of the company with our clients, providing support, and ensuring the AV systems installed are working at optimal performance. You will work effectively and efficiently in partnership with the client and the service management team to provide on-site support for AVDG customers.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including, but not limited to: testing/repairing cables, testing/repairing/replacing various hardware components.
  • Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs.
  • Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting support, general break-fix maintenance, video/audio recording support.
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVDG.
  • Setup and troubleshoot various audio/video/presentation systems.
  • Provide job site documentation and end user training and as needed.
  • Understand and adhere to local safety standards for all site duties.

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in the Commercial AV industry environment.
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control.
  • Experience with Control systems (Crestron, Biamp, Q-Sys, Extron) is required.
  • Advanced computer skills with ability to navigate around PC and Mac and possess deeper understanding of Windows/Mac OS applications.
  • Familiarity with Apple IOS products (Apple TV, iPad, Airport Express, iPhone, IOS10, etc.) as they relate to daily use for interfacing with and controlling integrated networks
  • Solid understanding of the pre-wire, trim, and final phases of a project, including proper use of all associated tools and job site safety
  • Industry certifications such as: Biamp Tesira Forte, Q-SYS level 1, Dante Level 1, Extron EAVA, and CTS
  • Ability to read and understand device layout drawings, engineered schematics, and provide redline corrections and construction blueprints pertaining to A/V industry.
