The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Service Repair Technician to join our Maintenance team on second shift.

This position has become available due to a valued employee returning to school, creating an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturing operation with long-term career potential.

In this hands-on role, you'll diagnose, repair, maintain, and improve a wide variety of industrial electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems that support plant operations. If you enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment and solving challenging technical problems, this is an excellent opportunity to put your skills to work.

What You'll Be Doing Maintenance & Repair
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
  • Install, maintain, modify, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and production equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, piping diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
  • Repair electrical control systems, communication systems, electronic controls, and production equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, lubrication, cleaning, testing, and equipment overhauls.
  • Remove, replace, modify, and install electrical and mechanical components.
  • Perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, soldering, and brazing as required.
  • Assist with electrical power distribution troubleshooting and repairs.
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
  • Utilize a variety of electrical and electronic testing equipment to diagnose equipment failures.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability.
  • Maintain electrical schematics, maintenance documentation, records, and equipment files.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and testing.
  • Help minimize downtime through effective preventative maintenance and rapid troubleshooting.
Team Support
  • Coordinate with supervisors and production personnel regarding equipment repairs and maintenance priorities.
  • Communicate with equipment manufacturers and technical support when necessary.
  • Provide guidance and direction to fellow maintenance employees on assigned projects.
  • Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience working on electro-mechanical, electrical, and electronic manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical controls and production equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and maintenance teams.
Preferred Experience
  • Industrial manufacturing or foundry maintenance experience.
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Welding, soldering, and brazing experience.
  • Familiarity with industrial power distribution systems.
  • Experience using diagnostic and electronic testing equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform moderately heavy physical work.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position equipment and components as required.
  • Comfortable working throughout a manufacturing facility, including exposure to heat, noise, dust, grease, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work around moving machinery.
