About this Location:

The Embassy Suites Brea offers a blend of suburban comfort and convenient access to some of Southern California's most iconic attractions and business hubs. The hotel serves a diverse mix of business travelers, group and meeting business, leisure guests, and family travel, making it a dynamic and fast-paced hospitality environment. With 228 guest suites and over 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, the property plays a key role within the portfolio by supporting corporate meetings, social events, and group travel demand. Our guests come for some of the most popular California attractions, such as Disneyland Resorts, Knott's Berry Farm, the Honda Center and California State University Fullerton and is centrally located near three major airports, John Wayne/Santa Ana, Ontario and LAX. 



Why do we need you? Windsor Hospitality is seeking an accomplished, results-driven General Manager to lead the Embassy Suites Brea Hotel, a full-service Hilton branded property. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for the complete operation of the hotel - from financial performance and revenue growth to team development and brand standards excellence.
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the General Manager serves as the on-property leader for all departments, setting the tone for service culture, operational execution, and financial accountability. The ideal candidate is a strategic operator with a proven track record in full-service hotel management, strong P&L acumen, and the ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams.


What you will do:


Financial Performance & Strategic Planning

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of hotel operations in alignment with Windsor Hospitality's strategic objectives and brand standards.
  • Develop, present, and manage the annual hotel budget; prepare short- and long-term financial and operational plans to maximize profitability.
  • Drive revenue growth through proactive management of ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, and total revenue across all departments.
  • Monitor and manage P&L performance, implementing corrective action to achieve or exceed financial targets.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of market conditions, competitive set, and demand trends to inform pricing and sales strategies.

Operations & Brand Standards

  • Oversee day-to-day hotel operations across all departments, ensuring seamless guest experiences that meet or exceed Embassy Suites brand standards.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards through regular property inspections, department audits, and guest satisfaction data review.
  • Ensure prompt and effective resolution of guest concerns, championing a culture of service recovery and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with corporate support teams (revenue management, digital marketing, HR, finance) to optimize performance across all disciplines.
  • Maintain full compliance with all brand, franchise, ownership, and regulatory requirements.

Sales, Revenue & Marketing

  • Lead and support the implementation of local and national sales and marketing programs to drive occupancy and revenue.
  • Actively engage in key account management, community relationships, and local business development to strengthen the hotel's market position.
  • Collaborate with the SVP of Operations and corporate teams on revenue strategy, channel management, and digital performance.

Team Leadership & Human Resources

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team; conduct regular performance evaluations and implement succession planning.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that drives employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
  • Maintain a proactive HR function ensuring compliance with labor laws, wage and benefit administration, and company policy.
  • Champion ongoing training, development, and coaching programs to build team capability at all levels.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, and separation processes.

Capital, Facilities & Vendor Management

  • Oversee property maintenance, capital expenditure projects, and asset preservation in coordination with ownership and VP of Operations.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure quality service delivery, competitive pricing, and contract compliance.
  • Lead or support capital improvement projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion with minimal operational disruption.

Skills and abilities you bring:
Required

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive hotel leadership experience, with at least 3-5 years as a General Manager of a full-service hotel.
  • Demonstrated track record of financial results including P&L management, budgeting, and revenue optimization.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain large, multi-department hotel teams.
  • Strong proficiency in revenue management principles, distribution channels, and demand-based pricing strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to effectively interface with ownership, brand representatives, and SVP of Operations.
  • Solid understanding of hotel sales, digital marketing, and reputation management practices.

Preferred

  • Prior experience with Hilton brands, specifically Embassy Suites Hotels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience reporting to a multi-property regional operations structure.

 "Pay range: $155k to $175k; placement in range is dependent upon qualifications, experience, skill and internal equity."
