Job description

About The Role

The Email Marketing Specialist supports the hands-on execution and optimization of marketing automation and customer communications within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). This role builds and maintains email campaigns, customer journeys, and audience segments that support Perry Homes' buyers throughout their journey, working under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Build and deploy email campaigns and multi-step journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder).
  • Design and maintain automated lifecycle and nurture programs.
  • Support personalized, dynamic email content using SFMC's tools and dynamic content blocks. AMPscript knowledge a plus.
  • Manage data extensions, audience segmentation, and list hygiene, ensuring accurate targeting and suppression logic.
  • Ensure lead and contact data flows accurately from Salesforce Sales Cloud into Marketing Cloud, working closely with IT on any integration or data quality issues that affect SFMC segmentation and journeys.
  • Monitor deliverability health, sender reputation, bounce and spam-complaint rates, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards on email and journey performance (opens, clicks, conversions, revenue attribution).
  • Ensure all emails and campaigns comply with CAN-SPAM, CASL, and other applicable email marketing regulations.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, information systems, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce, including both Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud data objects and how that data feeds into Marketing Cloud, with the ability to identify and direct resolution of data issues.
  • Experience in creating and building emails, journeys, automations, and data extensions.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for editing and troubleshooting email templates.
  • Knowledge of AMPscript and SQL is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Legal, IT).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple campaigns and workflows simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing data and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across departments.
