Job description

Westinghouse Outdoor Power Equipment is seeking a highly driven and execution-focused Email & SMS Marketing Manager to own and operate our lifecycle marketing efforts across email and SMS. This is a full-time salaried position based in Columbus, Ohio, reporting directly to the VP of Branding and Creative.

This role is responsible for leading strategy, execution, and performance of all email and SMS marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of building campaigns, automations, and segmentation while moving quickly and maintaining a high standard of quality. This individual will be the subject matter expert in Klaviyo and will play a key role in driving revenue through owned marketing channels.

This is a do-it-all role for someone who wants to run the show, with the support of an in-house creative team to assist with design and brand execution.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage all email and SMS marketing efforts from strategy through execution and reporting
  • Build, deploy, and optimize campaigns, flows, and automations within Klaviyo
  • Develop lifecycle marketing strategies including acquisition, retention, and re-engagement
  • Create and manage audience segmentation to drive personalized and high-performing campaigns
  • Write and generate email and SMS content using AI tools, ensuring alignment with brand voice and messaging
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop visually compelling assets that support campaign goals
  • Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectivenessBuild and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to track revenue, engagement, and growth
  • Continuously test and optimize subject lines, messaging, send times, and flows
  • Ensure compliance with email and SMS marketing regulations and best practices
  • Stay current on trends, tools, and innovations in lifecycle marketing and AI-driven content creation

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 4-7 years of experience in email and SMS marketing with a strong focus on ecommerce
  • Deep expertise in Klaviyo including flows, segmentation, and reporting
  • Proven ability to own and execute marketing campaigns end-to-end
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data and driving decisions from insights
  • Experience using AI tools to generate and optimize marketing content
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills with a focus on conversion-driven messaging
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and take full ownership

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience working with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms
  • Familiarity with SMS platforms and compliance standards
  • Experience building lifecycle marketing programs from the ground up
  • Background in consumer products or ecommerce brands
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and conversion rate optimization

Education and Experience:

  • 4-7 years of experience in email and SMS marketing with a strong focus on ecommerce

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
