Quality Department Data Entry Clerk

OVERVIEW

BMWC is an industrial construction company seeking a Data Entry Clerk to join our Quality Team. This important role supports the successful delivery of large-scale industrial construction projects by helping ensure quality records and project data are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.

You will be part of a top-performing project team and report to an expert Quality Director in the industry. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Quality and Fabrication Management Team by entering and maintaining quality records, verifying information for accuracy, generating reports using the data collected, and ensuring records are updated in the system each day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Quality Department Data Entry Clerk, you will:

  • Enter and maintain quality and project data into internal databases and tracking systems
  • Transfer information from paper and electronic records into computer files and database systems
  • Accurately process large volumes of data while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Review, correct, and update existing records as needed
  • Generate reports and retrieve information from databases and electronic files
  • Organize and maintain electronic files and hard-copy records to ensure information is properly stored and easily accessible
  • Communicate regularly with the Quality Team, project managers, project engineers, craft supervision, and other project personnel
  • Identify and communicate missing information, discrepancies, or documentation concerns through the appropriate channels
  • Learn and use new technology while identifying opportunities to improve processes and best practices
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience in data entry, clerical work, administrative support, or a related role
  • Construction, fabrication, or quality documentation experience is a plus
  • Strong data entry and typing skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn internal systems and software
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work six days per week, approximately 10 hours per day, based on project needs
