About the role:

Fairstone is seeking an experienced Digital Marketer with a focus on Marketing Automation and a strong emphasis on Email Marketing. You will play a crucial role in driving customer engagement and retention across our diverse portfolio, including Fairstone Bank, Fairstone, HT, Oaken, EdenPark, and Fig. In this role, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day Marketing Automation operations, including promotional email campaigns, campaign measurement, and reporting. You will stay abreast of industry trends and collaborate with internal partners to enhance and optimize campaign performance. The ideal candidate is a data-driven analytical thinker with a proven track record of successful email campaigns.

Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing, this role has the following responsibilities:

  • Execute Marketing Automation strategies and tactics to drive customer acquisition through cross-selling and retention
  • Build and execute promotional email campaigns and customer lifecycle journeys, identify opportunities for optimization, including customer segmentation strategies
  • Implement A/B testing strategies to enhance campaign performance
  • Conduct thorough testing and QA for all marketing automation and email campaign activities
  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to implement personalization strategies, tailoring customer interactions based on preferences and behaviour
  • Evaluate program performance, analyze reports, and identify trends and opportunities to optimize customer engagement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues with internal and external teams
  • Assists the Marketing Automation specialist in developing new experiences and customer journeys
  • Co-own prioritization planning for new requests and maintain ongoing documentation processes as business needs evolve
  • Create and deliver reports on email marketing initiatives to key stakeholders
  • Regularly identify and incorporate trends and best practices from leading brands to benefit Fairstone's growth
  • Cross-functionally coordinate with Creative, Content, Brand, Product, Analytics and other departments as needed

What we're looking for:

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of executing successful marketing automation and email campaigns
  • Experience with Braze platform preferred
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and Liquid Syntax is a plus
  • Experience in planning and executing customer journey maps, tracks, and triggers
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines independently while ensuring accuracy, efficiency and quality
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, solid business acumen, and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Financial services industry background is an asset.
  • French language skills are an asset.
