Job Description 3rd shift Process Technician Spring Lake, MI Position Overview: This role is a Process Technician position on 3rd shift with a leading manufacturing organization. They're looking for someone with at least five years of injection molding experience who is skilled in systematic, decoupled molding principles and basic robotics programming. The role focuses on setting up optimized molding parameters, troubleshooting complex processing defects, qualifying tooling, and mentoring junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities: Establish key injection molding process parameters and machine settings using systematic, decoupled molding methods. Set up, program, and refine end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) and industrial robotics for production cells. Perform tool qualifications, sampling, and debugging on new, repaired, or reworked molds.

Perform root cause analysis and apply statistical process control (SPC) to eliminate quality defects and reduce scrap. Document processing parameters and maintain data integrity across IMM controllers and monitoring systems. Train and mentor Process Technician I personnel and mold set-up teams on controlled, logical troubleshooting methods.

Assist with mold changes and cell layout optimization as production demands require. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on injection molding experience in a similar processing environment. Demonstrated experience establishing decoupled/systematic molding processes and managing non-Newtonian plastic flow characteristics.

Strong mechanical and analytical background with proficiency in processing conventional and engineering-grade resins. Hands-on experience with industrial automation, robotics programming, and End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT). Thorough knowledge of IMM machine states, controllers, and statistical process control (SPC).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in group leadership, technical mentoring, and structured team problem-solving. Working knowledge of Quick Mold Change (QMC) and Lean manufacturing methodologies.
