Dedicated Operations Manager

The central mission of a Dedicated Operations Manager is to maintain and increase revenue by managing a portfolio of accounts with specific set sales goals. Goals will be monthly, quarterly, and annual. The production will come by executing against our defined sales process to develop a strategy for ongoing growth and development of assigned accounts. This role works between the sales and carrier teams to define success for each customer and ensure RTI customers receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage customers to build relationships to win more business and generate organic growth
  • Bid upon and pull freight from large customer load boards
  • Pull freight from ad hoc customer e-mails and phone calls
  • Competitively price RFPs
  • Hold regularly scheduled service review meetings with the clients
  • Manage personal portfolio metrics (revenue, margin, monthly forecast, forecast accuracy, volume, etc.)
  • Understand and execute against the sales process to manage accounts
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the transportation brokerage industry
  • Think strategically around customer problems to deliver our value proposition(s)
  • Address any questions/issues that occur during time of pickup through time of delivery
  • Work with customer service representative to accurately set all pickup and delivery appointments
  • Work with carrier team and customer service representative with any accessorial charges that occur
  • Achieve daily goals assigned by management and oversee that daily goals are being met
  • Work with carrier sales team, customer service representative, and management to understand all customer information and needs to accurately provide the best service for each order
  • Understand all functionality within our company's system to accurately perform all broker/dispatch to carriers efficiently
  • Maintain accurate billing information under each order assigned to carriers while providing information to the billing department, customer service representative, and team manager for correct payment
  • Providing correct data on rates, spot pricing, and approvals to the billing department to insure all billing is accurate to meet billing needs in a timely manner
  • Accurately providing proof of delivery or bill of lading on each assigned order upon request
  • Required to be on-call as requested per management
  • Insure all office property (including laptop and cell phone) are taken care of
  • Flexibility to change to provide the best office structure to meet business needs
