Job description

Position acts as a Manager for the Janitorial Services Department of Sunrise Enterprises of Roseburg, Inc. This position trains, supervises, and guides staff and individuals with disabilities to work in a janitorial environment. The manager will be responsible for quality control and tracking of all work at accounts to ensure compliance with the scope of work. The manager will display attributes of strategic thinking and compassion and be willing and flexible to work all shifts necessary to complete contractual obligations.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of janitorial or supervisory experience or acceptable combination of experience.
  • At least one-year preferred working with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities where compassion, patience, dignity, and respect are tenants of daily interactions.
  • Must be proficient with email applications, word processing, and cloud software applications, such as Microsoft office, Clean Guru, Paycor, and SetWorks.
  • Detailed knowledge of janitorial cleaning products and equipment.
  • High attention to detail with a heart for service.
  • Possess organizational skills to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities at a time.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills that exemplify solutions-oriented view and be team work centric.
  • Have a valid Oregon driver's license and insurable by Sunrise insurance carrier.
  • Pass criminal history check. (May include fingerprints and additional CJIS Background Check)
  • Pass drug screen including marijuana/THC.
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification. (We offer classes at no cost to the employee)

WORKING HOUR/CONDITIONS
  • Typically, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Monday - Friday.
  • Will be on call for emergencies, to fill in for crew needs, and as required to meet contract requirements.
  • Overtime and weekends may be required.
  • Regular travel to contract sites in a company van with passengers is required.
  • Mostly indoors, exposure to dust, noise, and cleaning chemicals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Janitorial Functions:
  • Promptly, at the start of the shift, review emails, work schedule, crew assignments, check equipment & supplies required to perform the work and comply with PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements.
  • Perform vehicle checks before and after returning to janitorial office.
  • Supervise all janitorial staff & individuals receiving services in the janitorial department.
  • Perform detailed and thorough janitorial services required by the scope of work for every client. Including but not limited to dusting, disinfecting, sweeping, moping, vacuuming, washing windows, mirrors, wiping down surfaces, and trash removal.
  • Utilize tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe & economical manner as prescribed by company procedures, using a "safety first" approach.
  • Understand proper use of chemicals and familiar with SDS protocols.
  • Resupply any client items as instructed according to the scope of work.
  • Always maintain a safe work environment & immediately notify the supervisor of any safety hazard.
  • Always maintain security of client facilities & Sunrise properties.
  • Perform duties and complete tasks as requested by supervisor in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Utilize janitorial software to track and document all janitorial service work.
  • Ensure all documentation is submitted on time in accordance with company procedures.
  • Participate in required meetings, training, and committees.
  • Ensure a high quality of service is delivered to janitorial clients.
  • Safely drive crew to various account locations.
  • Know, follow, and maintain organizational quality control guidelines.
  • Conduct quality inspections and document according to organizational protocol.
  • Meet regular attendance requirements as assigned.
  • Keep work area in a clean, safe condition.

Employment Professional & Direct Support Functions:
  • Provide janitorial training to individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities ensuring detailed skills & quality outputs are maintained.
  • Ensure quality of Sunrise Employment Services to all janitorial employment services participants.
  • Assist our employment services clients to acquire and develop the skills, behaviors, attitudes, and personal characteristics required to function effectively in a work environment.
  • Serve as a role model for appropriate work behaviors, social skills, respect for others, and cooperation.
  • Follow all employment service protocols, including training, employment, medical, and behavioral supports.
  • Complete and provide evidence of skills training to meet state requirements in cooperation with Employment Services Staff for case management utilizing Microsoft office applications. This includes participant goal setting and training that would maximize their employment potential.
  • Keep relationships with participants professional and limited to work settings and supports.
  • Notify your supervisor of any conflicts of interest due to preexisting relationships with participants.
  • Ensure job stations for participants are set up prior to their work shift. Ensure processes are in place to keep the flow of material to job stations constant.
  • Report any incidents of neglect, abuse, emergencies, or problems to your supervisor or appropriate person by policy.
  • Utilize case management software to track and document all employment services Participant's progress.
  • Provide transportation at shift end to our employment services clients.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
