Job description

Are you a collaborative Technical Business Systems Analyst looking to work for a mission driven global organization?

About the role- The Senior Business Analyst is a senior-level position that will work with one or more business units, supporting moderately complex projects aimed at delivering IT solutions and services that meet company cost, quality and strategic targets. The role will predominately focus on gathering and analyzing work group data, defining current processes and requirements, researching best practices and identifying and documenting process improvements and functional specifications.

About the team - This team is building a generative-AI-powered clinical decision support tool designed specifically to help healthcare professionals quickly find trusted, evidence-based answers at the point of care. It combines a massive curated medical knowledge base with conversational AI so clinicians can ask questions in natural language and get concise, clinically relevant responses backed by real scientific evidence

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the development of new tools, standard processes and moderate solutions to meet core product needs.
  • Analyzing, defining and documenting complex requirements and business processes
  • Developing complex systems specifications and process flows.
  • Following established business processes, protocols and quality standards in the development and deployment of intermediate and complex solutions.
  • Maintaining stakeholder expectations and raise appropriate issues to project managers, as necessary. Developing "trusted advisor" relationship with senior stakeholders through effective communication and efficient, quality execution on projects.
  • Gathering business requirements and translate them into user stories/functional specifications. Identifying and documenting process improvements and functional specifications based on research of best practices and analysis of work group data.
  • Creating moderately complex technical and functional user documentation.
  • Performing moderately complex analysis on existing systems; identifying options for potential solutions and assess for both technical and business suitability.
  • Working between remote development teams, internal IT and business to ensure requirements are being met.
  • Collaborating in an Agile/Scrum environment: participate in standups, sprints planning, backlog grooming, and demos. Collaborating with QA to define and implement test strategies and acceptance criteria.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Intermediate understanding of software development methodologies, platforms, tools and languages.
  • Competent proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective process documentation skills
  • Developing advanced IT research, software analysis and design skills
  • Confident in gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories/functional specifications on moderate or large projects.
  • Prior experience with frontend development and UX patterns and practices
  • Experience using Claude Cowork or Claude Code
