Join Us as an Export Logistics Specialist!

Elliott Tool Technologies is looking for a detail-driven Export Logistics Specialist who takes ownership of getting critical shipments delivered accurately, compliantly, and on time. In this role, you’ll coordinate international shipments, manage export documentation, and solve real-world logistics challenges that directly impact global customers. Your work ensures essential equipment reaches customers when they need it most—keeping operations running worldwide.


Your Responsibilities:

As an Export Logistics Specialist, you will:

  • Prepare and validate export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and air waybills
  • File Electronic Export Information (EEI) through the AES portal and maintain audit-ready compliance records
  • Review daily sanctions screening results and escalate potential compliance concerns before shipment
  • Coordinate international shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers from booking through delivery
  • Compare freight options and apply Incoterms to balance cost, timing, and customer requirements
  • Track domestic and international shipments, proactively communicating status updates and delays
  • Investigate and resolve shipping exceptions, including delays, damage claims, and lost shipments
  • Evaluate carrier performance and address recurring service or cost issues
  • Partner with internal teams to improve logistics processes, reduce errors, and increase efficiency


Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you need:

  • Background in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field
  • Experience with export compliance tools or certifications (AES/EEI filing experience preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, or export operations
  • Knowledge of international shipping documentation, Incoterms, and export compliance practices; proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams, carriers, and customers
  • Ability to work onsite in Dayton, OH and operate between office and shipping environments
