Schedule: (5x8/mission dependent) Employees work 8 hours per day, 5 days a week

Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Specialist, Systems Engineering, to support RC-135 Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) systems for our location in Offutt AFB, NE. The position is a part of a team providing ground support and analysis to the USAF's RC-135 ELINT mission.ย  Responsibilities include operating the Ground ELINT Processing System (GEPS), pre-mission preparation of mission databases for RC-135 aircraft and associated mission trainers, and post-mission analysis/dissemination of mission products.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in design, configuration and provide maintenance/support for ELINT analysis systems around the world to include maintaining virtual desktop and server systems.
  • Build, integrate and maintain computer/networking systems according to customer requirements.
  • Brief RC-135 crews on potential collection opportunities and optimize collection by recommending best practices based on previously collected events.
  • Interact with analysts, aircrew, and associated agencies
  • Provide technical expertise on RADAR systems operations and collection system characteristics.
  • Conduct trends analysis against data to determine systems performance and identify issues.
  • Must be worldwide deployable with the ability to travel up to 15%
  • Ability to work various shifts depending upon mission needs
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI and Polygraph within the first year.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with four (4) years' experience with mission system and collection operations and/or analysis
  • Graduate Degree with two (2) years' experience with mission system and collection operations and/or analysis
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years' experience with mission system and collection operations and/or analysis
  • Demonstrated experience with mission systems and/or collection analysis along with computer operations

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • RC-135 mission system or like system collection operations and analysis experience/qualification
  • An understanding of Linux shell scripting, including, but not limited to, BASH, CSH, HTML, XML and PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of RHEL 8 OS and Windows OS with the ability to build/test OS images tailored for data processing and analysis requirements.
  • Network and Systems administration skills to include the ability to maintain, implement and configure switching, firewall, server and RAID storage solutions
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification
  • Familiarity with LINUX and UNIX-based operating systems using command line and Oracle database administration
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
