We are seeking an Staff Geotechnical Engineer in Texas to conduct field investigations, lab testing, and engineering analyses for various projects. This role offers hands-on experience in technical reporting, field inspections, and client collaboration, ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals in geotechnical or civil engineering.
Compensation: $85,000 - $120,000 salary depending on experience
Location: Houston, TX
FLSA Exemption: Exempt
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am -5 pm (Hours may vary)
What you'll be doing:
  • Perform geotechnical investigations and analyses to assess subsurface and site conditions.
  • Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration programs effectively.
  • Perform field and laboratory investigations for geotechnical engineering and geological study projects.
  • Analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations, and prepare technical reports for review by senior geotechnical engineers.
  • Provide direction to technical team during field inspection activities.
  • Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned projects on time.
  • Evaluate team performance and determine training needs to meet performance objectives.
  • Perform basic office administration tasks when needed.

What you have:
  • Bachelor of Science in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-6 years of related work experience within the State of Texas.
  • Proficiency in soil mechanics.
  • Ability to creatively apply engineering principles to solve problems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams.
