Elijah Rising is a Christian non-profit organization that provides safety through Prayer, Awareness, Intervention, and Restoration for victims of sex trafficking.


Elijah Rising's Transitional Program serves survivors progressing toward independence by providing safe, structured housing with ongoing support. The program focuses on long-term stability through affordable housing, life skills development, employment, financial stewardship, community integration, and spiritual growth.


Summary


The Transitional Home Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Elijah Rising transitional home. This role focuses on supporting residents as they move toward independent living by fostering accountability, stability, and the development of life skills in a structured, supportive environment.


The Transitional Home Manager collaborates closely with the CARE team and reports to the Chief Programs Officer to ensure each resident is progressing toward sustainable independence.


Required Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads and supports spiritual formation opportunities such as devotionals, prayer, and discipleship as appropriate


Program Leadership & Coordination

  • Provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of the transitional home environment
  • Coordinates schedules, rhythms, and expectations for the home
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for residents within the home
  • Collaborates with staff and volunteers who support the program, without direct supervisory responsibility
  • Communicates regularly with leadership regarding resident progress, challenges, and program needs
  • Helps identify gaps in programming, structure, or support and recommends solutions


House Management

  • Maintains a safe, structured, and independence-focused living environment
  • Supports residents in developing routines related to employment, budgeting, transportation, and daily living
  • Oversees and reinforces individualized transition plans in collaboration with case managers
  • Ensures residents are progressing toward goals such as employment, savings, and long-term housing
  • Assists with intake and transition processes, including onboarding and exits
  • Ensures adherence to program expectations, policies, and accountability structures
  • Supports conflict resolution and promotes healthy community living
  • Oversees household operations, including cleanliness, maintenance coordination, and shared responsibilities
  • Coordinates with Operations regarding facility needs and maintenance issues
  • Ensures residents understand and meet expectations related to rent, savings, and financial stewardship
  • Guides while encouraging increasing levels of personal responsibility
  • Responds to crises as needed while maintaining appropriate program boundaries


Independence Development

  • Coaches residents in budgeting, employment consistency, transportation, and daily life management
  • Supports residents in meeting financial expectations, such as rent and savings goals
  • Encourages personal responsibility while providing appropriate guidance and accountability
  • Connects residents to community resources, including employment, education, and healthcare
  • Prepares residents for successful transition into fully independent living


Finance

  • Oversees household expenses and ensures alignment with organizational budget and policies
  • Tracks and monitors resident rent, savings goals, and financial accountability systems
  • Ensures accurate and timely financial documentation related to the home
  • Reinforces financial literacy and stewardship practices among residents


Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with case managers to ensure individualized plans are implemented and progressing
  • Maintains appropriate documentation and reporting systems
  • Ensures consistent communication with leadership regarding program updates and needs
  • Oversees supplies and general operations of the home
  • Provides on-call support as needed while maintaining appropriate boundaries for a transitional setting
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, growth, and independence

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
