About the Employer
The Irvine Unified School District comprises a diverse population of more than 36,000 PK-12 students in one early childhood learning center, 24 elementary schools, five K-8 schools, six middle schools, five high schools and one alternative high school. IUSD schools have been nationally recognized for comprehensive programs in academics, the arts, and athletics.
Job Description / Essential Elements:
Under the supervision ofthe Principal, assists instructional personnel in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in an assigned classroom or other learning environment; may provide a variety of instructional and behavior support to individual students one-on-one; assists in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans; provides routine clerical support and performs related work as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience working with children in educational or organized setting. Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred.
