Job description

We are looking for an experienced Electronics Recycling Account Executive to source and purchase used IT equipment and electronic assets from businesses for Refurbishment, Resale and Recycling. Success in this role comes from building relationships, developing new accounts, negotiating purchases, and staying informed on market values. This role is distinctly different from procurement, supply ordering or internal inventory management.
If you enjoy prospecting, sales, networking, negotiating, and developing long-term customer relationships within the electronics recycling and ITAD industry, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
• Develop new business opportunities and build relationships with companies looking to sell surplus IT equipment and electronic assets.
• Purchase used computers, servers, networking equipment, mobile devices, and other electronic assets for resale or responsible recycling.
• Prospect through phone calls, email, networking, referrals, and industry events to grow your customer base.
• Negotiate pricing and purchase agreements that create value for both the customer and the company.
• Monitor market trends and commodity pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Work closely with operations and sales teams to ensure purchased assets are processed efficiently.
• Maintain strong customer relationships that generate repeat business.
• Represent the company professionally at industry events and customer meetings.
What This Position Is Not
• Purchasing office supplies or production materials
• Managing internal procurement or inventory replenishment
• Working with manufacturing supply chains
• Processing purchase orders for company operations
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in ITAD, electronics purchasing or the electronics recycling industry
• Strong sales, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Experience evaluating electronics and determining market value
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
