Taiga Motors, une entreprise en pleine croissance specialisee dans la technologie et la fabrication de vehicules electriques tout-terrain, est a la recherche d'un(e) ingenieur(e) en conception electronique pour concevoir de nouvelles cartes electroniques assemblees (PCBA) et soutenir notre portefeuille existant de cartes concues a l'interne. Dans ce role, vous prendrez en charge les conceptions, du schema et de la disposition de la carte jusqu'a la mise en service du prototype, en menant le tout jusqu'au transfert vers la production. Vous agirez egalement comme autorite de conception en matiere de substitution de composants - en determinant si une piece de remplacement est acceptable lorsque les stocks s'amenuisent ou qu'une piece atteint sa fin de vie - et serez le premier point de contact technique lorsqu'une carte fait defaut en production. Il s'agit d'un poste de contributeur individuel senior, destine a une personne qui souhaite prendre en charge le materiel du concept jusqu'a la ligne de production.


Responsabilites

  • Concevoir de nouvelles cartes electroniques assemblees (PCBA) : saisie de schemas, orientation de la disposition de carte et mise en service des prototypes
  • Soutenir et reviser le portefeuille existant de conceptions de cartes internes tout au long de leur cycle de vie
  • Prendre en charge la conception en vue des essais (DFT) et definir la couverture d'essai ainsi que les montages de test pour les cartes que vous concevez
  • Agir comme autorite de conception pour les decisions relatives aux pieces de remplacement : evaluer l'equivalence electrique des substituts et approuver les references croisees
  • Agir comme point d'escalade, du cote conception, pour les defaillances en production et les retours du terrain
  • Repondre aux questions techniques des fournisseurs et des vendeurs de composants
  • Produire et maintenir la documentation de conception, les nomenclatures (BOM) et les dossiers de mise en production
  • Soutenir les essais de qualification et de certification en collaboration avec le chef de projet Electrique/Electronique

Qualifications

  • Experience : 5 a 8 ans en conception electronique/PCBA dans un environnement de developpement de produits, avec des conceptions ayant ete menees jusqu'a la production.
  • Conception PCBA : Solides competences en saisie de schemas et en conception de cartes; capacite a faire et a justifier des compromis en matiere de composants.
  • Mise en service et debogage : Experience pratique en mise en service de prototypes, en debogage de cartes et en analyse de defaillances.
  • Conception en vue des essais : Experience dans la definition de la couverture d'essai et des montages de test pour des cartes en production.
  • Jugement en matiere de substitution : Capacite a evaluer si un composant de remplacement constitue un veritable equivalent electrique.
  • Outils : Maitrise des outils ECAD, ainsi que de Jira, des outils PLM et ERP (Teamcenter, NetSuite ou equivalent).

Description

Taiga Motors, a rapidly growing off-road electric vehicle technology and manufacturing company, is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to design new PCBAs and support our existing portfolio of in-house boards. In this role, you will own designs from schematic and board layout through prototype bring-up, and take them through to production handoff. You will also serve as the design authority on component substitutions - deciding whether an alternate part is electrically acceptable when stock runs short or a part goes end-of-life - and act as the first technical point of contact when a board fails in production. This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who wants ownership of hardware from concept through to the line.


Responsibilities

  • Design new PCBAs: schematic capture, board layout direction, and prototype bring-up
  • Support and revise the existing portfolio of in-house board designs through their lifecycle
  • Own design-for-test (DFT) and specify the test coverage and jigs for the boards you design
  • Serve as design authority on alternate-part decisions: evaluate substitutes for electrical equivalence and sign off cross-references
  • Act as the design-side escalation point for production failures and field returns
  • Answer technical questions from component suppliers and vendors
  • Produce and maintain design documentation, BOMs, and release packages
  • Support qualification and certification testing in partnership with the E/E Project Lead

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5-8 years in electronics/PCBA design in a product environment, with designs taken to production.
  • PCBA Design: Strong schematic capture and board design skills; able to make and defend component trade-offs.
  • Bring-up & Debug: Hands-on prototype bring-up, board debug, and failure analysis.
  • Design for Test: Experience specifying test coverage and test fixtures for boards in production.
  • Judgment on Substitutions: Able to assess whether an alternate component is a true electrical equivalent.
  • Tools:
    Proficiency with ECAD tools, and with Jira, PLM, and ERP (Teamcenter, NetSuite, or equivalent).
