Junior Electrical Engineer

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Junior Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that electrical engineering and control drawings continuously meet the requirements of various projects.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Review customer technical specifications and identify deviations from standard designs.
  • Create, update, and modify electrical and control drawings for turbo blowers.
  • Ensure electrical designs meet project-specific requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team during the bidding process.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical submittals and documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and customers as required.
  • Define specifications for electrical components, including circuit breakers, reactors, and filters.
  • Define specifications for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
  • Prepare technical documentation related to turbo blower electrical systems.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and support PLC programming activities.

    Required Skills/Abilities
    • Experience and interest in power electronics(motors, drivers)
    • Bachelors or master’s in electrical engineering; 
    • Strong knowledge of AutoCad Electric 2013;
    • Ability to update and modifY software and design of turbo blower LCP and MCP is considered an asset;
    • Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken). French is an asset;
    • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Must be proactive, have excellent interpersonal and client-relation skills and strong technical ability.
    • Knowledge of Canadian Electric Code, NFPA to NEC
    • Familiar with UL and CSA standard
