Job description

Cable Assembly Technician Troy, MI

Responsible for assembling and testing product per process specifications. This role is focused on cutting cable and crimping.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and cut wire
  • Operate small hand crimp tools
  • Perform a variety of assembly operations involving the application of connectors and hardware on wire harnesses
  • Apply heat shrink, sleeving, labels and spot tie as required
  • Coiling of individual or multiple wires per specified dimension
  • Soldering of terminals and wire per customer specifications
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Ability to read cable assembly prints
  • Ability to manage small work cell
  • Ability to build multibranch assemblies
  • Experience with crimping and soldering
  • Experience terminating/assembly Harting connectors
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and other manufacturing work instructions is preferred, but willing to train
  • Ability to read a ruler and understand measurement systems
  • Previous manufacturing experience in electronics helpful
