Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Group Leader for a manufacturing client in Flint, MI. This role will be primarily responsible for supervising an assembly production area, overseeing daily operations across manual and automated assembly stations, material flow, and related equipment. You will lead and support 10–20 hourly production employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‐quality assembly operations. While the primary focus is on assembly operations, this role will also provide support to machining areas as needed, collaborating with machining leaders to ensure production alignment and continuity.

Responsibilities include ensuring production schedules and quality standards are consistently met while enforcing standard work, safety procedures, and lean manufacturing best practices. Additional duties include timekeeping and attendance tracking, coaching and performance management of operators, and driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on assembly efficiency, scrap reduction, and process stability. You will also support production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production performance, quality data, and maintenance trends to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
