Job description:
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the counter and warehouse operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and transfer of electrical and mechanical products. This role involves managing counter and warehouse associates, processes, and systems to achieve optimal productivity, efficiency, and compliance with safety and company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through the cycle count process and investigate discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Oversee the counter, receiving, warehouse, and transfer operations.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and timely.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all counter and warehouse activities.
  • Partner with management in training counter associates and implementing standardized cross training of all warehouse associates.
  • Supervise counter and warehouse associates ensuring associates adhere to company policies, safely protocols, and operational standards.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for associates.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and other branches to ensure smooth operations.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
  • Analyze data and performance of associates to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Foster a positive work environment aligned with the culture and goals of the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Competencies:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Good working knowledge of Infor SXe.
