In the Test Engineer position you will conduct electrical test engineering support involving automation, assembly, maintenance, and data collection. Perform the task of developing test routines, software, and systems for testing of products to meet customer specifications. Responsible for all facets of productions, costing, development, support, training, and automation regarding test issues on a corporate scale.
JOB SUMMARY: Conducts electrical test engineering support involving automation, assembly, maintenance, and data collection. Performs the task of developing test routines, software, and systems for testing of products to meet customer specifications. Responsible for all facets of production, costing, development, support, training, and automation regarding test issues on a corporate scale.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Hardware and software development for all areas of test including Automated Optical Inspection, Flying Probe, Agilent 3070 In circuit Test, Hi-Pot, Boundary Scan, X-Ray, Device Programming, Environmental. Screening and PCBA & System Level functional testing.
  • Maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
  • Interface with customers during development or consignment of test equipment concerning all technical and support issues related to test.
  • Provide/create all required documentation for test equipment including any maintenance schedule, spare equipment and work instructions required during manufacturing.
  • Training and technical assistance to all departments.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Attends meetings as needed to support organization activity.
  • Performs other duties when required that are outside of normal job duties.
  • May be asked to assist in other duties to ensure production needs are met in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred applicant will have a BS Degree in Engineering or 3-5 years equivalent in work experience.
  • Good understanding of electronics manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Experience with object oriented programming, Visual Basic 2010, LabVIEW or similar language.
  • Experience with relational databases, Oracle/MySQL or similar.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in Contract Manufacturing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
