General Summary:

TheMission CriticalQuality/ Commissioning (QCx)Foremanwill work withQCxproject teams toimplementandapplyproject specific quality control programs and procedures. TheQCxForemanwill alsoassisttheQCxManager in the oversight ofQCxspecificprocedures, checklists, plans,forms,and logs.

Preferred Job Skills:

  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
  • Must be able to read and interpret specifications, submittals, single-linediagramsand other contract documents.
  • Ability to work under pressure, while closely tracking QC details of multiple project activities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to create documents, analyze data, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills arerequired.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, hands-on, working environment.
  • Must have experience in a decision-making position, be self-motivated, and have an analytical mindset.
  • Experience collaborating with field and management to understand and implement technological and Quality programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a quality culture that embraces "Implement Quality from the Start" andcoachcontinuous learning approach that improves project efficiency and quality.
  • Identifyareas for improvement while implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Drive the implementation of the Quality / Commissioning Programson projects, focusing on core programs including site specific quality plans, policies, and procedures on projects through proactive planning, training, support and by sharing lessons learned.
  • Manage the verification and documentation for all Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment, ensuring the conformance with the approved submittal while adhering to the Equipment Protection Plan.
  • Collaborate with the construction team, andQCxteam to schedule and conduct Foreign Objects and Debris (FOD) inspections prior to Energization on MV / LV SWGR, MV / LV XFMRs, Panelboards etc.
  • Responsible for accurately torquing bolts and fasteners to specified tolerances, ensuring proper assembly and safety standards are met.
  • Conduct megger testing on feeder wires to ensure proper insulation resistance and electrical safety compliance.
  • Maintains correct andaccurateinspectionrecords, torque reports, megger reports, and other related items.
  • Assistinthe First Time Energization (FTE) process from start to finish.
  • Support /participateinrequireddaily,weekly,and monthly meetings (i.e.,dailyCx, scheduling, coordination, pre-energization,and staffing meetings)when theQCxMcannot.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of processes, systems, and documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Prepare Daily Quality Reports documenting field discrepancies and audit findings whilesupportingcorrective actions.
  • Supportinvestigations into quality-related incidents, conduct root causeanalysesand implement corrective actions, establishingpreventative measures to minimize future incidents.
  • Identifyand assess quality risks associated with Mission Critical operations.
  • Other duties assigned, including temporary assignments, training assignments, and other related duties.
