Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc.seeking a highly organized and detail-orientedElectrical QA/QC Managerto join our team for ourData Center project in Sparks, Nevada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with our teams while doing visual inspections and physical testing to confirm compliance with project requirements.


We are offering hourly pay and per diem, working 5, 12 hour shifts.


TheElectrical QA/QC Managerwill be tasked with the inspection and testing of all electrical systems, equipment, and installations. The position requires electrical knowledge, field experience, and will work directly with our superintendent, project managers, VDC, and field personnel to support the department with QAQC and final commissioning implementation and execution.



Major Duties:

  • Work closely with the project management teams to coordinate all testing and inspection reports as required by project requirements.
  • Work closely with project engineering/commissioning team to help facilitate submissions of testing and inspection reports as required.
  • Double check VDC design and prefabrication product for compliance, quality, and accuracy.
  • Assist with the development and execution of project required QC Plan.
  • Assist with the coordination efforts related to formal notifications as required.
  • Lead all vital QC documentation - Reports, Test Data, Logs, QC Daily Reports etc.
  • Cross reference and back-check all required testing standards for compliance.
  • Work closely and coordinate with 3rd party testing firms as needed.
  • Regular site walks on the project to support and verify QC activities.
  • Work with the Superintendents and Field personnel to promote adherence to QC standards when needed.
  • Ensure quality control procedures and safety guidelines are adhered to.
  • Work proactively and productively with the project team to assess and correct any potential deficiency items.
  • Work collectively with the commissioning team.
  • Provide top service to our clients with consistent and concise communication.
  • Ability to travel to onsite locations for extended periods of time.
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance with scheduled work hours.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years in the electrical construction field.
  • Must have an OSHA 10 issued within the past 5 years.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in construction environment performing QA/QC auditing.
  • Experience with electrical equipment and conductors to ensure safe testing, QC, and commissioning.
  • Experience with safe start-up of electrical systems.
  • Experience with de-energizing and LOTO of electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace).
  • Up to date and current computer knowledge, including Excel, MS Office, email, internet, Bluebeam, ACC, and Procore.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork attitude.
